The Young Friends is a network of professionals dedicated to building awareness of the Center and supporting its mission.
Through community involvement, social events, and public education, the Young Friends work to support the Center’s mission while uniting talented, charitable and hard-working young professionals in St. Louis.
The Young Friends:
- Range in age between 21 and 35
- Have a strong interest in the Center’s mission
- Are committed to raise awareness for communication disorders
TRIVIA NIGHT
The Young Friends host an annual trivia night to raise awareness and funding to support the Center.
This event is typically held each February and is a fun-filled event that helps us advance the Center’s mission to help low-income people with their communication disorders!
SIGNATURE DRAGON BOAT RACES
Each year the Young Friends bring together volunteers and board members to compete in the Signature Healthcare Foundation Dragon Boat Races each June. In 2018, the 20-member team placed First in the Non-Profit division and Fifth overall at the event!
THE CENTER’S ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
The Young Friends play an instrumental role planning and running the Center’s annual fundraising gala.
NETWORKING & FUNDRAISING
The Young Friends holds additional networking and fundraising events to build ties among young professionals, the communication disorders community and regional non-profits.
